Kayenta-Health-CenterThe new, $150 million Kayenta Health Center serves 200 patients a day on the Navajo reservation in Kayenta, Arizona. The facility encompasses a 13-bed inpatient nursing unit, ambulatory surgery, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and emergency departments. When FlintCo, LLC, a commercial construction company, was engaged to provide its services for the new Kayenta Medical Center, they engaged Fisher Engineering, Inc. (FEI) to provide fire protection quality control during design and construction. In this role, FEI reviewed design drawings for the automatic sprinkler, life safety, and fire alarm systems for general compliance with the life safety/fire protection provisions of the applicable codes and standards. FEI then reviewed contractor submittals for compliance with the appropriate construction documents, including applicable codes and standards.
