Ardrey Memorial Auditorium at Northern Arizona University

NAU-Memorial-AuditoriumNorthern Arizona University (NAU) is a public university located in Flagstaff, Arizona. As of fall 2014, 27,715 students were enrolled, with 20,134 at the Flagstaff campus.

In 2012, NAU sought to renovate its 1,400-seat Ardrey Memorial Auditorium to improve its ADA accessibility and ensure its fire/life safety code compliance.  Ardrey Memorial Auditorium is a theater and stage that is attached to and a part of the NAU Performing and Fine Arts Center. The original performing arts building to the north was constructed in 1967 and provided approximately 101,000 square feet of space for offices, practice rooms, and two theaters.  Ardrey Auditorium—along with attached classroom and practice spaces totaling 56,000 square feet—was constructed in 1972.

Fisher Engineering, Inc. (FEI) was engaged by RSP Architects to provide fire/life safety/code compliance evaluation, design, and consulting services for the renovation project.
