In response to increasing demand for its light truck and car tires, Toyo Tires North America is expanding its existing manufacturing facility in White, Georgia. The expansion will add approximately 533,000 square feet of manufacturing space and approximately 325,000 square feet of warehouse and storage space, as well as incidental office and administration areas.
KBD Group, Inc. is providing architecture and engineering services for the project and has engaged Fisher Engineering, Inc. (FEI) to provide fire protection engineering and life safety design, as well as construction period services, as part of the design team. Fire protection systems include a fire pump, wet pipe sprinkler systems, and dry pipe sprinkler systems.
The project, when completed, will create 450 new jobs and is part of an ongoing, phased expansion plan that extends through 2018.
